GHGC SENIORS

During the 2018 Golf Season, the Green Haworth Mens’ Seniors Team will play a total of 22 games against the Seniors’ Sections of 11 other Golf Clubs on a Home and Away Basis. A full list of fixtures appears elsewhere in this Diary.

Each match is for teams comprising 12 players, of all abilities, made up of 6 pairs using a matchplay format over 18 holes.

A typical match will include tea/coffee/biscuits on arrival, followed by 18 holes of golf and finishing with a 2 course ‘sit down’ meal and drinks from the bar. All in all, an ideal opportunity to socialise, put your golfing skills to the test whilst playing on a wide selection of different courses.

The cost is just £10 per game. At a home fixture it is expected that the Green Haworth players buy a drink for our visitors and vice versa on an away trip.

Any golfer scoring a ‘2’ wins a sleeve of balls and to add further interest for 2018 we are introducing a ‘Merit Table’ based on performances over the season and culminating in a ‘Senior Champion’.

All members over the age of 50 are eligible to play.  Details appear throughout the season on the Notice Board in the locker room. We will be delighted to welcome players old and new. If you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact either of the Organisers, below.
